We design and build pinewood derby tracks, timers, and race software in the USA — one complete system, made to be fair, durable, and easy for volunteers to run.

When your pack, church, school, or club invests in a track, you’re not buying a toy — you’re buying equipment that has to deliver a fair, exciting race for hundreds of kids over many years. We build ours to earn that trust.
We build the whole system
Most groups end up stitching their race together from three different vendors: a track from one company, a timer from another, and software from a third — then hope they all talk to each other on race morning. Derby Magic is one of the few companies that builds the track, the electronic timer, and the race software ourselves, so they’re designed to work together out of the box.

Made in the USA, and in stock
Our tracks are designed and built in the USA, in Largo, Florida — and we keep them stocked. That means most orders ship within about 5 business days, so you’re not gambling your race date on months of overseas shipping. If something ever needs a part, it comes from us, not a warehouse overseas.
Built to be fair, and to last
Our tracks are made from precision-machined PVC that won’t warp, twist, or rot — so the lanes stay flat and fair season after season, in a damp basement or a hot gym alike. And because every close finish is settled by an electronic timer accurate to the thousandth of a second, no kid loses a race to a judging mistake.

Easy for volunteers to run
A great track is no good if it takes an engineer to set up. Ours use numbered sections and factory-set connectors so the track goes together the same way every time, with basic hand tools, and every track ships with full step-by-step instructions. When the day’s over, the sections pack back into their boxes and store in a cool, dry closet until next year.
Real people, real support
We’re a small, specialized company — not a marketplace reseller. When you call or email, you reach the people who actually build the equipment, and who can help you choose the right track, troubleshoot on race day, or get a replacement part.
